Patterned thinking. Children with autism tend to engage in patterned thinking, often viewing the world through a lens of rigid, predetermined patterns. This can make it difficult for them to perceive changes in the environment or adapt to new conditions. For instance, if a child has experienced a particular situation, they may memorize a specific behavior pattern and repeat it in a different situation that may remind them of the previous one.

Intense observation of the environment. Some children with autism may exhibit an exceptional attention to detail in their surroundings. They may notice things that others ignore and often fixate on these objects or phenomena.

Obsession with novelty. A strong need for novelty is another characteristic symptom of autism. Some children with autism are constantly seeking new experiences or changing their usual activities, struggling to maintain interest in what is familiar to them.
