From Repetition to Meaningful Speech in Autism
Echolalia—the repetition of sounds, words, or entire phrases—is not inherently negative: between 18 and 36 months, children use it to learn language and develop speech skills. This is a completely normal stage in language development. Even early learning often employs the “read and repeat” method, which helps master language features more effectively.
It is used for the following reasons:
- To understand sentence structure, which is unique to each language and needs to be logically explained to determine if words are correctly arranged.
- To develop pronunciation: while letters may be common across languages, their sounds differ.
- To teach intonation, which often conveys meaning.
- To correctly place word stress and learn how to emphasize certain words in sentences.
For some autistic individuals, the challenge is that even after learning to speak, they only repeat words heard from others or “quote” phrases from TV shows, without progressing to independent, meaningful speech. While they can express wishes or feelings this way, they do not grasp all aspects or nuances of language.
Therapy with psychologists or speech therapists can help overcome this limitation, but it may take a long time, may not yield desired results, and most importantly, does not provide a cure. Only eliminating autism and its symptoms can enable a child to develop true communication skills, and currently, the most effective and fastest way to achieve this is through cellular therapy.
This therapy involves stem cell transplantation, whose main value lies in their ability to transform into any other type of cell. By replacing damaged cells with healthy ones, stem cells normalize brain and nervous system function, improve behavior, accelerate development, and help acquire essential skills—including speech.
Since the stem cells come from the patient’s own body, rejection is not an issue, making the procedure completely safe. It can be performed at any age, with almost no contraindications. Additionally, cellular therapy is the most natural approach, relying on the body’s own regenerative capabilities. The results are long-lasting and often lifelong, enhancing the effectiveness of other corrective measures.
This innovative method has been highly praised by the scientific and medical communities. It is now widely recognized and may become the primary approach to combating autism and its symptoms. Leading clinics worldwide, including the Mardaleishvili Medical Center, already practice this therapy. The center employs top specialists and uses state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the best therapeutic outcomes. The quality of care meets the highest standards, and treatment costs are lower compared to other countries. The center also offers comprehensive support for travel planning and other logistics, including accommodation during rehabilitation, which is relatively brief.
Undergo cellular therapy—and help your child speak independently!
